Years ago, Rob embarked on a new and rewarding journey—one that would enhance his body physically, spiritually, and mentally. Years of competitive, high-impact sports and weight training had taken a toll on his body. Seeking a shift in maintaining his physical health, he stepped out of his comfort zone and into a yoga studio. Falling completely in love, yoga soon became a large part of his life. He quickly learned to appreciate the changes it brought, not just in the mirror but in his perspective on life. The steady journey of his yoga practice continued for two years before inspiring him to pursue his yoga teacher training certification.
With bags packed and his yoga mat rolled up, Rob traveled to the majestic city of Rishikesh, India. Tucked at the base of a mountain pass, he immersed himself in all things yoga at the Yoga Shiva Peeth Ashram, located on the banks of the captivating Ganges River. For over a month, he absorbed the ancient teachings of Asanas, Pranayama, and Indian philosophy. With his 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certification in hand, he returned home to Vancouver, where he continues to practice and refine his skills.
Rob values how yoga positively impacts all aspects of life. In today’s fast-paced world, he believes yoga is more essential than ever, providing a retreat from the go-go-go mentality while offering peace, grounding, and a fantastic workout.
He currently teaches at several studios around Vancouver and thrives on the Prana (energy) he feels when teaching.
